Radiator Grille Shutter Delete Kit | 2009-2018 RAM 1500 DS (Classic)

Factory radiator grille shutters were designed for efficiency, not debris. When obstruction leads to restricted airflow and Check-Engine-Lights, a mechanical solution makes the difference. This kit repositions the shutter motor away from the radiator opening, eliminating common failure points while maintaining OEM airflow paths and complete reversibility due to the no cutting required.

This kit may not necessarily resolve your Check Engine Light (CEL) if your vehicle has issues caused by the grille motor, or wiring harness faults.

Factory motor IS REQUIRED. This kit does not include a motor.

Our kit allows you to remove the Active Grille Shutters from your 2009-2018 RAM truck. Simply unplugging the grille shutters will result in a CEL (Check-Engine-Light). This kit allows you to remove the large grille shutter assembly that block air flow to your radiator, without throwing a CEL. 

Includes a grille shutter motor mounting bracket, all the hardware to mount the shutter motor, a method to keep your shutters open, and detailed instructions. 

How it works:

Its more than a mount to hold the motor. When you power on your truck, the grille shutters perform some movement checks to ensure they are not jammed or stuck. There's an allowable range of motion and if the motor turns more or less than what is allowable, it will throw a code. Thanks to development work we've done with these trucks, we've determined the allowable range of movement, and this kit duplicates that perfectly.

Not Compatible with the NEW BODYSTYLE 1500DT Ram trucks.
