Active Grille Shutter [AGS] Delete Kit | RAM 1500 DT

Experiencing reduced functionality due to check engine code P05AE on your 1500 DT? Designed for off-road reliability, this solution deletes the grille shutter system affected without causing system faults.

This kit may not necessarily resolve your Check Engine Light (CEL) if your vehicle has issues caused by the grille motor, or wiring harness faults.

Factory AGS motor IS REQUIRED. This kit does not include a motor.

Our AGS kit allows you to remove the Active Grill Shutters (radiator or bumper) from your 2019+ RAM truck. Simply unplugging the grille shutters will result in a CEL for code P05AE. This kit allows you to remove the large grill shutters assembly that block air flow to your intercooler or radiator, without throwing a CEL. 

Includes a grill shutter motor mounting bracket, all the hardware to mount the shutter motor, and detailed instructions. If removing bumper and radiator shutters two delete kits are required.

Our MOD V2 bumper even has a dedicated mounting spot for this bracket, tucked neatly inside the bumper where it plugs into the OEM harness.

How it works:

Its more than a mount to hold the motor. When you power on your truck, the grill shutters perform some movement checks to ensure they are not jammed or stuck. There's an allowable range of motion and if the motor turns more or less than what is allowable, it will throw a code. Thanks to development work we've done with these trucks, we've determined the allowable range of movement, and this kit duplicates that perfectly.
